Frequently Asked Questions
Are the bags waterproof?
The short answer is no. The long answer is although the fabrics are completely waterproof the bags are water resistant. The very act of sewing makes a neat row of little holes for water to get through, this means that on all my bags water will get through at some point. Roll top bags like my saddle bag and fork bags are constructed with a floating liner, they will keep out water under virtually all circumstances except submersion. On zippered bags like most frame bags I use water resistant zippers, but under very rainy circumstances water can find its way through the teeth.
How do I fit my frame bag?
All bags ship with the lace-up in place, so take a good look before undoing it and then simply replicate it. Usually there is some length left over, you can trim this and singe the ends of the cord in a small flame like a candle or lighter to prevent them from fraying. With bolt-on bags be sure to use the included washers to avoid putting overstressing the eyelets.
